As wildfires continue to rage across southern California, Los Angeles native Jhené Aiko and her wellness brand, Jhenétics, partnered with the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and Manly Handz to provide massages to first responders stationed near the Pacific Coast Highway.
“With sudden change comes uncertainty, but we must remain grounded. These challenging times are an opportunity to be there for one another and build a stronger community,” a press release from Jhenétics reads. “Inspired by the support of family, friends, and community… we will adapt, regenerate, and move forward with intention and love.”
Wildfires have spread throughout Los Angeles County and the surrounding areas for much of January. Thus far, more than two dozen lives have been lost, thousands have been displaced and more than 10,000 homes have been destroyed, including Jhené Aiko’s.
“Me and my children’s home is gone… burned to the ground with all of our things inside. Lord have mercy. Thankful we still have each other…starting from scratch. My heart is so heavy,” she wrote on Instagram.
Jhené Aiko and her wellness brand are among a growing collection of entertainers providing support for those impacted by the wildfires, including Beyoncé and The Weeknd who have both donated upwards of $1 million.
