Actor Jeffrey Wright will join the cast of HBO’s The Last of Us as the series enters its second season. He will step into the series as “Isaac, the quietly powerful leader of a large militia group.”
Wright is no stranger to HBO or The Last Of Us. Previously, he voiced the role of Isaac in the The Last of Us Part II video game. Also, he starred as Bernard Lowe in 36 episodes of HBO’s beloved series, Westworld. Since the show’s cancellation, he’s starred in several high-profile films, including The Batman, Rustin and American Fiction. The latter of the three earned Wright an Academy Award nomination. Now, he returns to HBO nearly a decade after Westworld‘s premiere for his latest stint at the premium cable network.
Season two of The Last Us is currently under production with expectations to premiere in 2025. Wright will be joined by fellow cast members Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Young Mazino, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, Spencer Lord and Danny Ramirez. Catherine O’Hara will also reportedly step in as a guest star.
