Baltimore Ravens linebacker Jaylon Ferguson has tragically passed away at the age of just 26 years old. Baltimore Police responded to his home Tuesday night where medics were treating the unresponsive linebacker. He did not regain consciousness and was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. There was no trauma and foul play is not expected at this time according to the Baltimore Police Department. A cause of death has not yet been listed. Ferguson was drafted by Baltimore in 2019 and spent three years on the Ravens’ roster. He was participating in their offseason workouts this summer.

The Baltimore Ravens released a statement following the tragic death of one of their own: “We are profoundly saddened by the tragic passing of Jaylon Ferguson. He was a kind, respectful young man with a big smile and infectious personality. We express our heartfelt condolences to Jaylon’s family and friends as we mourn a life lost much too soon.” It is a sad day when someone tragically passes away with their whole life ahead of them.
