The Cleveland Browns will be without wide receiver Jarvis Landry for at least two or three weeks after he suffered a sprained MCL against the Houston Texans. That injury happened fairly early in the game and Landry was later ruled out for the remainder of the game. Cleveland went on to beat the Houston Texans 31-21 to move to 1-1 on the season. Jarvis Landry caught one pass for nine years in that game against Houston before leaving the game.
#Browns coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters that WR Jarvis Landry has an MCL sprain and is week-to-week. It’s relatively minor, so sounds like 2-3 weeks.

So far this season Jarvis Landry has six catches for 80 yards as well as two rushing attempts for 13 yards and a touchdown. The Browns are largely a running team, but Landry is one of their most dynamic weapons on the field. Losing him for a few weeks could hurt the team’s offense some. The good news is the team should get star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. back before Landry returns to the field.
Jarvis Landry. Underrated.

The team initially feared that the injury was more serious, but thankfully the injury is only a minor one. Cleveland needs Jarvis Landry on the field and hopefully the offense can manage without him. This injury likely means a bigger role for wide receiver Anthony Schwartz who has been solid so far for the Browns. Baker Mayfield and the offense will really need Beckham Jr. and Landry back as soon as possible.
