Earlier this year, Stacy Barthe signed to the newly formed Love Records led by Sean “Diddy” Combs. Throughout her career, Barthe has presented her vocal abilities alongside the best of the best including Rick Ross, Nipsey Hussle and Frank Ocean. Over the years, a Stacy Barthe co-sign has come to mean big things. Most recently, she presented her vocal talents to the rising artist, Jake James.
In the “Celebration” video, Jake James honors the graduating class of 2021. Donning a graduation cap and gown, James raps about lessons he’s learned over the years. In many ways, he’s presenting a few gems that many of us could have used upon graduation. To solidify his work further, he enlists the talented Stacy Barthe to sing the hook.
“When you’re young, it’s hard to have it all figured out. It ain’t about who’s got the fastest car or the biggest house. Wealth is in your state of mind, not your bank account. Just be yourself and don’t let anybody count you out,” he raps.
