Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard Jakarr Sampson got up as he looked to follow a shot from a teammate that missed. Sampson rebounded the ball, and threw in back in the hoop over Jerryd Bayless, who was also trying to go for the rebound. Bayless got the last laugh as the Milwaukee Bucks went on to win the game 107-97.
The aftermath of the play resulted in Bayless basically being shoved the floor bay Sampson, who seemingly body slammed Bayless to the floor. This may have not been intentional, but it did give a little extra juice to the video.
Sampson reached his season average of five points, which included two putback dunks, 5 rebounds, an assist, a block, and a steal in 21 minutes of playing time. As the Sixers continue their rebuilding process, expect to see Sampson continue to make the most of his opportunities and throw down some more of these dunks. If Sampson can manage to stay in the league, he could end up as a contestant in next year’s dunk contest.
