Last night, the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves put on quite the scoring performance. Two young players really showed out in the game. Ja Morant and Anthony Edwards put on highlight-reel performances. Morant would finish the game with a huge double-double while Edwards would have a highly efficient night scoring the ball.
The Grizzlies would finish the game with six players in double digits, including three players over 20 points. Morant would finish the game with 37 points and 10 assists. Brandon Clarke would also finish with a double-double of his own, 12 points and 10 rebounds. Memphis is headed for a date with the play-in tournament as they sit in the 8th seed in the west currently.

Anthony Edwards wasn’t going to let Morant just steal the night. No, he had a special performance as well. With his usual partners on the court, Karl Anthony-Towns and D’Angelo Russell, Edwards had an insanely efficient night. He finished the night with 42 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. He would shoot 8-9 from three, 17-22 from the field, and only took one free throw, which he missed.
The scoring display put on by Edwards made this game a game. The Grizzlies could have run away with it, but with the three stars for Minnesota combining for 66 points, this was a close one. Edwards was on one and no one was stopping him.

Edwards would also make a little history last night while he was at it.

In fact, it was so close that the first quarter is what separated the two teams. Memphis would outscore Minnesota by 4 in the first period and would go on to win by 4 to finish the game. In the next three-quarters of the game, both teams would score the same amount of points, each posting a 40, 34, and 32 point quarter. Grizzlies go on to win 139-135.
