This year, the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia area has managed to put out a number of great projects, including It’s Almost Dry by Pusha T and The Hurtbook by Pusha T. Virginia’s own Pharrell brought Something In The Water to the nation’s capital and Wale appeared alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in Ambulance. Most recently, Masego worked with Fetty Wap to put a new twist on “Yamz” just in time for Thanksgiving. With all of that going on, the contributions of IDK cannot be forgotten.
IDK has taken things to new heights in 2022. To get things started, he linked up with Kaytranada to deliver one of the best EPs of the year, Simple. Then, he toured the country with his new set of tracks. He also appeared on NPR’s legendary music series, Tiny Desk. Given all that he’s done, he could relax for the remainder of the year. Nope! Recently, he popped on tour and offered a bit of good news.
“[Part two is] coming,” he tweeted, referring to his Simple. EP.
IDK didn’t offer any more details regarding who would appear on the project, when it would drop or if Kaytranada would be a part of it. Nevertheless, more new music from the Washington, D.C. is always welcomed. Stay tuned for Simple II!
