Star Wars is planning to bring back an old face as it enters a new chapter. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Hayden Christensen will return as Anakin Skywalker in the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars series, Ahsoka. Joining Christensen, actress Rosario Dawson will star as Jedi survivor Ahsoka Tano.
At this time, there are few details available regarding the plot or the release date. However, The Hollywood Reporter did mention that Dave Filoni will be writing the series with Jon Favreau executive producing the project.
For those unfamiliar with Filoni’s name, he is responsible for a number of classic animated and live-action projects. On the animated side, he has contributed to King of the Hill, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Kim Possible and Lilo & Stitch. On the live-action side of things, Filoni has worked on The Mandalorian, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. In addition to working on Ahsoka, Filoni is also working on Rangers of the New Republic with Favreau.
