Greenwood, the digital banking platform for Black and Latino individuals and business owners, has reportedly acquired The Gathering Spot, a private membership network focused on the Black community. Following the acquisition, The Gathering Spot Co-Founder Ryan Wilson will take on the role of Chief Community Officer at Greenwood. Meanwhile, Wilson’s business partner, TK Petersen, will work as the Vice President at Greenwood. Despite these changes, The Gathering Spot will continue to focus on community building, personal finance content and banking services.
“The Gathering Spot prides itself on building an intentional community, one where we can celebrate each member and connect them to the resources and networks they need to build on their successes,” The Gathering Spot Co-Founder Ryan Wilson said in a press release.
“Joining with Greenwood is a commitment to our community, and we share Greenwood’s vision in empowering people and helping them to build opportunity and generational wealth.”
