
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers quarterback Grayson McCall has decided to withdraw from the transfer portal and stay with the program. He entered his name into the transfer portal on December 12th after it was announced that the program’s Head Coach Jamey Chadwell had accepted the job as the Head Coach of the Liberty Flames. McCall has dealt with several injuries this season but was still a vital part of the team’s overall success. Coastal Carolina hired North Carolina State offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Tim Beck to be the program’s next Head Coach.

In his career with the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, Grayson McCall has completed 559 passes for 8,086 yards, 78 touchdowns, and eight interceptions on 792 attempts. He has also carried the ball 297 times for 1,065 yards and 17 touchdowns in his career. McCall will have two years of legibility left thanks to his extra year of eligibility because of the COVID pandemic. Head Coach Tim Beck will be tasked with winning games with the program and containing to make McCall look good. After this next season, he could stay or decide to enter the transfer portal once again.
