While it isn’t often talked about, Goldlink has one of the best music video catalogs in his class. From the Washington, D.C. centric “Crew” video to unique camera angles used in the “U Say” video, he’s shown that he’s willing to take a chance and have fun with his visuals. His latest video for “Raindrops” with Flo Milli is no different.
Directed by Ray Fiasco, the video plays around with the idea of MTV and VH1 while also parodying Drake’s “Hotline Bling” video. While the DMV native doesn’t rock a red jacket, he can be seen moving around the same stairs that Drake did with similar meme-friendly dance moves. Meanwhile, the Alabama rapper rocks a pink outfit as she appears on “FLOH-1.” In the end, Fiasco introduces animated versions of the two rappers on a channel called “Da Box.”
“Raindrops” is one of the lighter and more fun tracks on Goldlink’s new project, so it only makes sense that the video has a comedic tone as well. Check out the Ray Fiasco production below.
