Over the course of the past several weeks, Kelly Rowland and Frank Gatson’s “Chasing Destiny” has aired on BET. With the premise of the show being that Kelly Rowland and Frank Gatson find the next potential huge girl group, Kelly and Frank have found themselves putting on the hats of mentors and have worked hard to find the ladies that would make the perfect fit for a new dominant girl group within the music industry. With the events surrounding this difficult task panning out each week, last night’s episode displayed the selection process of 5 ladies who would now find themselves in a newly formed group. With one of Kelly’s major points throughout the season being the importance of harmonies, the ‘Chasing Destiny’ ladies have went forth to release a cover of Drake’s No. 2 smash hit, ‘Hotline Bling.’ Packed with more harmonies than one would expect, not only was the record flipped to be made their own, it also showcased a great vocal side that some may feel that’s missing from today’s groups. As ‘Chasing Destiny’ still remains on air and will continue to showcase the development of the group, here’s a small showcase of what they have to offer.
