On weekdays, viewers across the country tune in to see George Stephanopoulos deliver the day’s biggest news stories via Good Morning America. On Sundays, he pivots to telling the biggest stories on Capitol Hill via This Week. Now, he plans to enter the world of streaming via Hulu. Earlier this month, the popular news anchor shared the first look at his new show, Power Trip.
ABC, Hulu and George Stephanopoulos believe that their new show, Power Trip, will shake up the way news is delivered and seen by viewers. When thinking of Power Trip, picture something in between The Voice, The Newsroom and The Circus. This eight-part series will feature a number of young reporters covering key campaigns leading up to the midterm elections in November. Along the way, viewers will be able to see the ups and downs of reporting, managing a work-life balance and much more. Not to mention, Stephanopoulos will gather the group of reporters and offer advice.
“These are young reporters in their 20s. Lots of ambition. Lots of drive. Not so much experience,” George Stephanopoulos told Variety.
Check out a quick teaser for Power Trip before the series debuts on September 25, 2022 on Hulu.
