A new name will be added to the executive producer credits following next week’s episode of This Week with George Stephanopoulos. ABC News has announced that senior producer Dax Tejera will be upgraded to an executive producer role on the weekly political broadcast.
Tejera is a well-known name in the world of broadcast news. After earning a degree at Dartmouth College, Tejera kicked off his career as a News Associate at NBC News. During his time with the network, he worked his way into researching and producer roles before leaving for a spot at Fusion Media Network. Down in Miami, Tejera worked as an executive producer for America with Jorge Ramos. Ultimately, he left Fusion Media Network for a senior producing role with This Week. After four years with the network, he has worked himself into an executive role with one of ABC’s most successful shows.
Throughout his career, Tejera has covered a number of groundbreaking events including the Capitol Hill Riots, 2020 presidential election and COVID-19 pandemic. Heading into the new year, Tejera and company will continue to cover the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the upcoming 2022 midterm elections.
