Foot Locker, Champs & Footaction Unveil Launch App Reservation

This is great news for “Sneakerheads”. While release methods are gradually changing to make the playing field of getting that highly coveted sneaker daily, it looks like Foot Locker, Champs and Footaction join the likes of Nike and adidas for a similar method. Taking to their respective apps, this new reservation method has been unveiled, Launch App Reservation. the app reservation looks to eliminate “unfair” raffling and lines altogether which looks to be for the better considering the increase in popularity over footwear the last couple of years.

Through the latest App update, the Launch Locator feature allows you to easily identify and follow launch procedures at the store of your choice. The new App Launch Reservation option now allows you to select styles through the App. If available, choose up to three stores where the App procedure applies, then select your size to start your countdown clock. When your countdown clock expires, you’ll be notified via the App of the outcome of your submission.

• Log into the App using your account on Footlocker.com, or create one in the App with a valid email address.

   

• Enable “location” and “push notifications.”

Enter the Launch Locator from the home screen.

• From the Launch Locator, select a release to identify the launch procedures that apply.

   

• If the App Launch Reservation procedure applies, select up to three stores where you could pick it up.

• Select your size. Once size has been selected your countdown clock will begin.

• Earn In-Store Check-In ‘Head Starts’ or edit your submission up until 24 hours prior to the countdown clock expiration.

• Once the countdown clock hits zero, unlock the outcome of your submission under “My Countdowns.” If you enabled push notifications, you also will get a notification that your outcome is available.
