NBA Picks 4/7/22
3-0 last night but it wasn’t easy. The Brooklyn Nets trailed the New York Knicks for most of the game but rallied after a 25-4 run. The Knicks fought for most of the 4th but ultimately collapsed down the stretch. The Dallas Mavericks game played out exactly how we predicted. Dallas came out flat in the first half and pulled away after a strong third quarter and never looked back. The Chicago Bulls were no match for the Boston Celtics and would be wise to shut down Zach Lavine for the rest of the regular season. With that said, let’s dive into tonight’s slate with the NBA Picks 4/7/22.
Philadelphia 76ers at Toronto Raptors (+1.5) 7:10 p.m EST
The Philadelphia 76ers are hoping this isn’t a first-round preview. Mattise Thybulle is unvaccinated and would be forced to miss any games in Toronto due to their Covid-19 restrictions. For a team lacking depth, losing their best wing defender against a team full of long and athletic wings would be less than ideal. A win tonight would go a long way towards avoiding that scenario.
Pick: Philadephia 76ers -1.5 (-110 via DraftKings)
Los Angeles Lakers at Golden State Warriors (-12.5) 10:10 p.m EST
The basketball community laid the Los Angeles Lakers season to rest after their most recent loss to the Phoenix Suns. The Lakers have been eliminated from playoff contention and have nothing to play for. The Golden State Warriors, on the other hand, are fighting for the three seed and would like to avoid the Phoenix Suns in the second round if possible.
Pick: Golden State Warriors -12.5 (-110 via DraftKings)
Portland Trail Blazers at New Orleans Pelicans (-17.5) 7:40 p.m EST
17.5 is simply too high. The Portland Trail Blazers have lost by that amount just once in their last five losses. They will certainly lose, but the value is on them to cover tonight.
