He may not be a legend on the field, but he’s legend on-air. Going forward, he may also be a legend at the bank. According to multiple reports, ESPN personality and radio host, Stephen A. Smith, is currently in the process of negotiating the richest contract in ESPN history.
According to The New York Post, “Smith is in line to become the highest-paid on-air person at ESPN by potentially boosting his salary to $10 million per year.” In comparison, Stephen A. Smith’s current contract is currently in the neighborhood of $5 million per year. Other personalities such as Mike Greenberg, Mike Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser are believed to be paid in the neighborhood of $6.5 million per year. If successful, Smith would be paid more than NBA stars such as DeMarcus Cousins and Luka Doncic are being paid this year. Stay tuned to see if Smith is successful in his negotiations.
