Memphis Tigers star freshman guard Emoni Bates has signed a deal with Raymond Brothers and Roc Nation Sports to navigate his NIL commitments. Bates has long been a top name in basketball and will certainly have more offers than he alone can handle. Unless something changes, Emoni Bates is not eligible for the 2022 NBA Draft because of his age. He will be outside of the NBA until the 2023 NBA Draft. His fellow freshman teammate Jalen Duren is in a similar situation when it comes to Name, Image, and Likeness Deals.

Emoni Bates is now represented by Raymond Brothers of Roc Nation. Will handle all of Bates’ NIL negotiations. Additionally, the Bates family has formed something called Bates Management Group. pic.twitter.com/LyruESEFHu

Bates has long been considered the next great name coming into the professional basketball scene. His name brand is already incredibly strong and he should make a lot of money off his name while playing college basketball at Memphis. College basketball would not have gotten the chance to experience the amazing talent of Emoni Bates if it were not for the NIL rules passed by the NCAA this offseason.

The Memphis Tigers look like one of the best college basketball teams heading into the season. Emoni Bates and Jalen Duren are set to take college basketball by storm. Unlike so many talented guys before them, they have the freedom to make money off of their own names. This is a great thing for college basketball moving forward.
