
After spending more than two decades at The Washington Post and The New York Times, Ed Guzman will take over as the sports deputy editor at ESPN’s The Undefeated. In this role, he will lead the outlet’s coverage of major sports leagues ranging from the NFL to the ATP as well as the World Cup and the Olympics.
“We are very pleased to have Ed join us. He is a seasoned sports editor with experience in the social justice space. Ed will help elevate our enterprise reporting and topical content at the intersections of sports, race, and culture,” Raina Kelley of ESPN said in a press statement.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of The Undefeated, and I am grateful for the opportunity. I look forward to the work and realizing what is possible with the incredible talent we have assembled,” Guzman added.
Guzman kicked off his tenure as the deputy sports editor this week from Portland, Oregon.
