The Quality Control Music roster will look a bit different moving forward. During the final moments of this week’s episode of Rotation Roundtable, the Memphis native revealed that he will is no longer signed to the label. However, he does not feel that it will impact his work ethic as he is working on his forthcoming project, WTF, which is expected to be released later this year.
News of Duke Deuce’s departure from the label arrives just a few months after HYBE America reportedly acquired Quality Control for an estimated $320 million. The label prominently works with artists like Lil Yachty, City Girls and Lil’ Baby, but it is unclear if any other artists were impacted by the merger like Duke Deuce.
“P and I are ecstatic about this partnership with Scooter and HYBE and are confident they can get us to the global ambitions we’ve had in our scope since the beginning of our company,” Kevin “Coach K” Lee said when the deal was announced earlier this year.
“Nothing means more than our artists impacting worldwide.”
