According to a report from Shams Charania from The Athletic, Cleveland is sending Collin Sexton, who will sign a four-year deal for $72 million, Lauri Markkanen, Ochai Agbaji, three unprotected first-round picks, and two pick swaps.
With the trade, the Jazz finishes their rebuilding moves and try to enter a new era in the history of the franchise. With the return from Cleveland and Minnesota, they have several drafts picks to build their new team.
Mitchell leaves after five years in Utah where he was one of the top talents of the 2017 draft and lost the Rookie of the Year to second-year rookie Ben Simmons. He filled Gordon Hayward’s role as the team star and kept them in the playoffs.
He was selected to three All-Star games and averaged at least 20 points per game in all five of his seasons. Now Cleveland has a main core of Garland, Mitchell, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley. Four players with All-Star talent that can bring several winning seasons in Cleveland.
