North Carolina Tar Heels sophomore guard D’Marco Dunn has announced that he has entered the transfer portal this offseason. He becomes the 7th Tar Heel to enter the transfer portal this offseason with the other six already committed to other programs. The Tar Heels now have three open roster spots for the 2023-24 college basketball season. There have been some rumors about who will fill those three spots, but nothing has been confirmed at this time. Dunn is a former four-star recruit and should have plenty of offers this offseason while in the transfer portal.

This past season as a sophomore for the North Carolina Tar Heels, D’Marco Dunn averaged 2.7 points 0.7 rebounds, and 0.2 assists per game in just 10.3 minutes per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 42.4 percent and a three-point percentage of 32,4 percent. Dunn did get some minutes this season, but an injury seemed to derail his momentum and when he returned he did not seem to be as big a part of the rotation. Dunn will be looking for a larger opportunity with his new program for the upcoming college basketball season. The former four-star guard has the talent and will have a chance to prove he can shine.
