Jacksonville Jaguars Wide Reciever DJ Chark is out indefinitely with a fractured ankle he suffered in week 4 during Thursday Night Football. He went down in the first quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals and carted to the locker room. A report quickly followed that he had fractured his ankle and he would be out for an unknown amount of time. Chark is considered the Jaguars’ number one wide receiver option. The Jacksonville Jaguars came into the game with a record of 0-3.

#Jaguars WR DJ Chark suffered a fractured ankle, source said. Out indefinitely. Just a brutal injury for one of Jacksonville’s best players.

DJ Chark has emerged as a top wide receiver option despite multiple starting quarterbacks throwing to him in his career. Rookie quarterback Trever Lawrence quickly established a connection with the wide receiver and his presence on the field will surely be missed. So far this season, Chark has recorded seven catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns. He did not record a catch before going down against the Bengals.

It is unclear how much time DJ Chark will miss right now and it is also unclear if this will end his season. That will largely depend on the severity of his injury and what the recovery process entails. For now, the Jaguars will have to look at other receiving options on their team. We here at Def Pen Sports hope to see Chark healthy and back on the field as soon as he is able.
