New Orleans Pelicans point guard Devonte Graham has been charged with a DWI in Raleigh, North Carolina. Graham, a Raleigh native, was arrested by State Highway Patrol early Thursday morning. There are no further details about the arrest at this time. While Graham is from Raleigh, North Carolina he played college basketball with the Kansas Jayhawks. He was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets and played there before signing with the New Orleans Pelicans in a sign and trade deal between the team and Charlotte. Last season with the New Orleans Pelicans, Devonte Graham averaged 11.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 36.3 percent and a three-point percentage of 34.1 percent. By the NBA Playoffs, Graham had primarily been played out of the Pelicans rotation. In the 2022 NBA Playoffs, he averaged 4.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game. in just 10.0 minutes per game. He paired those playoff numbers with a field goal percentage of 33.3 percent and a three-point percentage of 35.7 percent. A DWI arrest is unlikely to help his playing time situation.
