The Atlanta Falcons have traded linebacker Deion Jones and a 2024 7th-round pick to the Cleveland Browns for a 2024 6th-round pick. This marks an end to the current Falcons era and begins their rebuild in earnest. Jones Isn’t quite the player he was in his early years, but he is still an incredibly talented starting NFL linebacker. The Browns will likely plug him right into the starting lineup in the hopes he sheers up their rush defense heading into the back half of the season.

Deion Jones has not played yet this season due to shoulder surgery that made him miss the offseason and the start of the 2022 NFL season. He should return to form at some point this season and be ready to play for the Cleveland Browns. Last season with the Atlanta Falcons, Jones recorded 87 solo tackles, 137 total tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, and six passes defended. In his career with the Atlanta Falcons, he was named to one Pro Bowl in 2017. He now moves to his second NFL team and starts a new journey with a team hoping to contend later in the season.
