Dear White People will return to Netflix for a fourth and final season. The streaming service made the announcement earlier today by releasing a YouTube video featuring the entire cast.
Marque Richardson told his fellow cast members, “I brought you all here to tell you ‘Dear White People’ will be back for a fourth and final season.”
After the announcement was made, the Netflix series’ show runner, Justin Simien, said, “I’m so grateful my little indie-that-could has made it to four seasons at Netflix.”
He added, “This show, along with the many talented storytellers it has brought into my orbit, has changed my life and I can’t wait to create a celebratory final volume befitting such a transformative experience.”
Moving forward, Simien’s series will join a growing list of Netflix shows set to end with their next season. Glow, Bojack Horseman, Grace & Frankie and The Ranch will all end after releasing one more season.
The fourth and final season of the series will likely hit Netflix in the upcoming year.
