As Valentine’s Day quickly approaches, it’s imperative that partners keep the peace in their respective households. Whether’s a weeklong beef or a minor dispute, nothing seems to fix the mood in the house or the apartment quite like admitting you’re wrong. No one seems to understand that quite like Atlanta native Deante’ Hitchcock.
Fresh off of a string of freestyles over tracks like “I Hate You” by SZA and “Novacane” by Frank Ocean, the Atlanta native has returned with a new track like “U Were Right I Was Wrong.” Driven by the addictively melodic chorus, Deante’ Hitchcock cleverly takes listeners through the ups and downs of an erratic relationship before simply saying, “You were right. I was wrong.”
“I know what you like. If you’re ready, baby, you were right. I was wrong. She said, ‘I don’t want to fight. Just come get me. We can roll tonight. Let’s get gone.’ Aye, Aye, Do you love me? You say you and you’ll put nothing else above me,” he raps.
Releasing new music ahead of Valentine’s Day is nothing new for the Atlanta native. Just last year, he dropped a project called Everyday The 14th with Chris Patrick, ELHAE, Dende, Bairi and DaVionne. This year, “U Were Right I Was Wrong” sets the stage for new music to come from the Atlanta native. While we wait to see his next move, check out the new single below.
