David Jonsson will reportedly star in Frank Ocean’s forthcoming directorial debut. Much of the singer’s entry into film has been kept under wraps, including the film’s title, plot, and cast, but multiple reports indicate production is underway in Mexico City, Mexico.
Ocean is best known for his award-winning discography, but he’s dabbled in film previously. Most notably, he’s directed music videos for several of his tracks, including “In My Room,” “Biking” and Endless. Also, he’s appeared on the soundtracks of Southpaw, Safe House, The Old Guard, and The Great Gatsby.
As for Jonsson, picking up another role is nothing new. Shortly, he’s set to star in Stephen King’s The Long Walk, Wasteman with Tom Blyth, and Colman Domingo’s directorial debut, Scandalous, with Sydney Sweeney.
