Comedian Dave Chappelle has been tapped to lead the latest episode of Saturday Night Live. Joining the famed comedian, Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey of Black Star will work as the musical guest.
Chappelle has a tradition of hosting the longstanding variety show following a major election cycle. In 2016, he hosted the show following the election of Donald Trump. Four years later, he hosted Saturday Night Live following the election of Joe Biden. This time around, the President will remain the same, but the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives may look different by the time he makes it to New York.
Congress may not be the only thing that looks different to Chappelle when he returns to the legendary show. Saturday Night Live has undergone a variety of casting changes since 2020. Chris Redd, Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon and several others have left the show recently. In their absence, Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow and Devon Walker have joined the show.
The cast of new comedians will join forces with Dave Chappelle on November 12, 2022 at 11:30 p.m. EST on NBC.
