I’m not entirely sure what to make of this trailer. The film is about a woman (Diane Keaton) who loves her dog more than her own husband (Kevin Kline), and then her husband loses the dog. I’m intrigued by the cast (it also includes Richard Jenkins, Dianne Wiest, and ‘Mad Men’s Elizabeth Moss), but the premise seems like it would get old after awhile. Old being the operative word, I don’t think I’m the target audience for this movie. Maybe my grandparents would be interested?
Who knows, there are a ton of Academy Award winners in here, maybe this is a hidden treasure. Look for ‘Darling Companion’ in theaters sometime later this year.
