Three-time NBA Champion wing Danny Green is re-signing with the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-year deal worth 20 million dollars. There are no options listed on the deal between Green and Philadelphia. The team traded for him last offseason after the Los Angeles Lakers traded him to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Danny Green is a vital player on their roster because he is one of the few players that helps space the floor around Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. His defense is also invaluable and fits the Philadelphia roster perfectly.

Danny Green showed some interest in other teams, but after some time decided that returning to Philadelphia was the right move for him. The 76ers have had some drama circulating them involving star Ben Simmons, but the team was dominant in the regular season last year. If they can work out their issues they could once again compete for a top seed in the Eastern Conference. There is clearly plenty of talent on the roster and if they can find a way to adjust some things they could compete for an NBA Championship.

Green has experience winning championships and that could help the 76ers in the playoffs or in a potential NBA Finals. Last year with the 76ers Green averaged 9.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 41.2 percent and a three-point percentage of 40.5 percent. Philadelphia, barring a major move, has a mostly complete roster, and now needs to focus on trying to win an NBA Championship.
