Theis will head back to Boston after a couple of stops with the Chicago Bulls and the Houston Rockets. Since Brad Stevens took over as the President of Basketball Operations, some of his former players went back to the Celtics.
For the Rockets, Theis has played in 26 games, 21 as a starter, with averages of 8.4 points and 5.0 rebounds in 22.5 minutes per game.
During the day, the Celtics tarded for Derrick White from the Spurs and finish the day acquiring Theis to move up in the standings. They are currently in the seventh seed with a 31-25 record.
