Lillard will be one of the three cover athletes the company will announce during this week. In a tik tok video with the former cover athlete for NBA 2K20 Anthony Davis the dates were announced. The next announcement will come on July 1 and July 2.
For Lillard, a five-time all-star and four-time All-NBA, is a special moment in his career to be named as the cover of the videogame. Following comes from an interview with Shams Charania from The Athletic.
“I’ve been a fan of NBA 2K for years and love how they represent all aspects of basketball culture. I’m an avid 2K player, so I’m honored to join the other NBA greats who have been on the cover. I’m grateful to all my fans and can’t wait for everyone to experience the game later this year.”
The Blazers are one of the 22 teams that will travel to Orlando for the resumption of the season, and so far in the season, Lillard is averaging a career-high in points (28.9), assists (7.8) while leading the league in minutes per game (36.9).
