Lee has quietly had a solid season offensively with the Knicks this year. He has averaged 10.4 points in 31.3 minutes so far, shooting an efficient 46 percent from the field and 42 percent from 3-point range.
Despite losing weight and being sick, Lee suited up and played for the Knicks during their game on Thursday against Cleveland and on Saturday versus Philadelphia. He scored 26 points in 36 minutes against the Cavs, and 5 points in 24 minutes against the Sixers.
Lee joins the Cavs’ Kevin Love, Chicago’s Jimmy Butler and others as players who have lost significant weight this season due to illness.
Despite Lee’s solid offensive play this season, the Knicks have mostly struggled. They are just 24-35 on the year and currently hold 12th place in the Eastern Conference.
