Nike LeBron X – “Lava”
Deep within the earth’s core, intense heat and pressure actively change the structure of carbon. Billions of its atoms are bonded together, producing pure diamonds. About a million pounds of pressure per square inch and temperatures up to 2,700 degrees Fahrenheit are required to make a diamond. But since diamonds contain no properties capable of radioactive dating, it’s difficult to estimate how long this process actually takes. What we do know is that these jewels are eventually unearthed through the magma of deep volcanic eruptions. The magma cools, encasing the diamonds in rocks. While the LeBron X ‘Lava’ doesn’t surface from underneath the earth, it is constructed in a similar manner.
