The Christmas colorways of Nike Basketball signature shoes are an annual tradition. Bold designs, material executions and seasonal concepts cut through the cold weather as the LEBRON 11, KOBE 8 SYSTEM and KD VI deliver a gift to the courts. This year, three wintertime stories are linked by special logo lacelocks that connect to create custom signature ornaments
With Christmas less than one week away and exactly one week until the official release of this upcoming Nike Basketball Christmas Collection it seems Nike is taking things to another level. Contrary to the previous LeBron models sporting the christmas theme these are more of an eye catcher especially with the reversal of the red and green that we are use to seeing. The KD VI’s which at first received negative reviews have actually been getting a great response lately and is going with a theme we haven’t seen Durant’s signature line as, his shoes were usually more outside the box. BUT this doesn’t mean it hasn’t thought outside the box though, you’ll see. Now due to the injury Kobe has obtained Nike held back on his 9th signature shoe; Nike Kobe 9 Elite, so we are getting a KB8 again this year. This shoe, after seeing countless pictures, Nike has outdone themselves.
Nike LeBron XI “Christmas”
– A chilly mint color takes on a Christmas green with bold red accents and a frosty translucent outsole. The unique geometry of a snowflake combines with the royal palm to create a kaleidoscopic ‘palmsicle” print.
Nike KD VI “Christmas”
– With a twist on traditional Christmas prints, the KD VI features a Fair Isle style Christmas sweater pattern that incorporates trees, stripes, and his number 35. Christmas plaid adorns the collar lining, with decorative detail worked into the metallic red Nike Flywire technology upper and a mint green speckled sole.
Nike Kobe 8 System “Christmas”
– The essence of the shedding skin is exemplified in a bold modern interpretation of aggressive snake scales attached to a translucent mesh shroud. Hits of neon mamba green and chrome gold bring in the holiday season.
This may be, as a collective bunch, the best Nike Basketball Christmas Collection in my opinion. I am hopefully trying to get my hands on the Nike KD VI this year just cause I am big fan of his shoes but don’t get me wrong the LeBron’s and Kobe’s both are dope as well.
