Fat Joe is leading this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta, Georgia on October 4, 2022 at 9 p.m. EST. While promoting the award ceremony, he stopped by The Breakfast Club in his hometown of New York, New York. During his conversation with DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God, he revealed that No Malice and Pusha T will come together for a Clipse reunion during the award show.
“She said, ‘Ask him to name some of the performers and are there any surprises?'” Angela Yee said.
“I don’t know who I should said say and who I shouldn’t say. Pusha T and the Clipse [are performing],” Fat Joe replied.
“Wow!” Charlamagne Tha God commented.
“Come on! I f*cked up the surprise already. It’s the first one,” Fat Joe added.
The Clipse have not performed together on television in more than a decade. However, they did recently reunite during Pharrell’s performance at his Something In The Water festival in June. No Malice also watched from the side of the stage as his brother, Pusha T, performed the following day. However, they did not perform together then.
In addition to performing at the award show, Pusha T is also nominated in the “Hip-Hop Album of the Year” category. His most recent LP, It’s Almost Dry, will compete with Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, Kanye West’s Donda, Latto’s 777 and several other best-selling projects.
The 2022 BET Hip-Hop Awards are set to begin at 9 p.m. EST on BET. Until then, check out Fat Joe’s most recent appearance on The Breakfast Club below.
