Russell Wilson and Ciara are truly a power couple in the world of entertainment. Through their joint production imprint, Why Not You, the two have signed a first-look deal with Amazon Studios.
“We’re so excited and honored to work with Amazon Studios,” the Wilsons said.
Together, the two will develop and produce scripted series through their production company. Subsequently, all of their work will debut on Amazon Prime Video.
“They’ve quickly become one of the most exciting studios in entertainment and have shown a strong belief in our vision to bring inspiring stories to the world. We can’t wait to begin our work together.”
Amazon is quickly finding success in the content space. Their video service has already found success with series like Invincible and The Boys. They’ve also acquired films like Sylvie’s Love, One Night In Miami and Without Remorse. Not to mention, Jay-Z and Michael B. Jordan have signed a deal to produce a limited series about Muhammad Ali for the streaming power. Adding Russell Wilson and Ciara to their roster can only strengthen their efforts to compete with Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max and other major streaming services.
