
It is often said that you can speak your dreams into existence. If that is the case, New Jersey’s own Chris Patrick has done just that. At the end of the month, he will embark on a seven-city tour that will hit Chicago, Brooklyn, Toronto, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Pontiac and Washington, D.C. Recently, the East Orange native took to Twitter to let his supporters that he’s been practicing for this tour long before it was realistic opportunity.
“[I will begin my] first tour in 15 days. [Here’s a] fun fact. Kev [and I have] been rehearsing for like eight months before we even had shows for real. We just practiced in hopes that someday we’d get on something. Now [we’re] here,” he tweeted.
Chris Patrick has not only landed his first tour placement, but he’s also earned a a number of key collaborations within the last 18 months. He’s hopped on “Typical Sh*t” with Deante’ Hitchcock and added a verse to “Depression” from Reggie Becton’s California. Not to mention, T-Pain also co-signed his thoughtful track, “Dreams.” To celebrate all that has come from his work over the last 18 months, Chris Patrick has shared a new track called “Up Now.”
Kicking off with an addictive guitar piece, “Up Now” is a celebratory tune that matches much of the energy that Chris Patrick has put out into the world. While acknowledging the tough times that have come in the past and may continue into the future, his perseverance has paid off in the long run.
“I used to feel like sh*t was dub, but n*gga I’m up now. I used to feel like I wouldn’t be nothing, but now they want to f*ck with me,” he raps.
