Chlöe is no stranger to putting her own spin on some of music’s biggest records. In the past, she’s covered songs like “Easy On Me” Adele and “Pick Up Your Feelings” by Jazmine Sullivan. Earlier today, she extended her cover catalog by adding her voice to a hit record called “Gyalis” by Capella Grey. Backed by the revitalized “Back That Azz Up” sample, Chlöe offers a response to a few of the things that the New York native got off in the original.
“He told me [that] he was out with his n*ggas. There he goes [with] another lie,” she sings.
“I could’ve had his friends, like three or four other men. Now, I’m all alone in my crib and I regret it.”
Chlöe’s “Gyalis” is another taste tester for what is to come on her upcoming project. After delivering singles like “Treat Me” and “Have Mercy,” she is prepared to roll out this project later this year. In the meantime, she and her sister will prepare to reunite on stage at the Something In The Water festival next month. While we wait, check out her performance of “Gyalis” below.
