Kentucky Wildcats freshman guard Cason Wallace has announced that he has declared for the 2023 NBA Draft. The “one and done” star will join a long list of former Wildcats that enter the NBA after one season under Head Coach John Calipari. Wallace has long been considered a future lottery pick for the 2023 NBA Draft and he has played at that level most of the 2022-23 college basketball season. There is no coach in college basketball that puts players in the NBA and with top picks than John Calipari does at the University of Kentucky.

In his sole college basketball season with the Kentucky Wildcats, Cason Wallace averaged 11.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and two steals per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 44.6 percent and a three-point percentage of 34.6 percent. With his defense, Wallace will get plenty of looks in the 2023 NBA Draft lottery. He has consistently been mocked in the lottery and will likely be a top-ten pick on draft night. Kentucky has a great class coming in like most years and next year those players will likely join Wallace in the NBA as well. John Calipari has a seamless machine that pumps out “one and done” talent to the NBA each draft.
