Former North Carolina Tar Heels point guard Caleb Love has announced that he is transferring to the Michigan Wolverines. The announcement that he was leaving the program after a disappointing season came as a somewhat shocking one. Now Love will play for Head Coach Juwan Howard and the Michigan Wolverines, who are also looking to bounce back next season. Love is still looking to get to the NBA and is hoping a bounce-back senior season with the Wolverines and their former NBA player Head Coach will accomplish his goal of making the league.

As a junior for the North Carolina Tar Heels, Caleb Love averaged 16.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 37.8 percent and a three-point percentage of 29.9 percent. Love hit perhaps the greatest shot in North Carolina basketball history during the 2022 Final Four. His three-point shot over Duke center Mark Williams secured the team a win over their arch-rivals in perhaps the biggest game ever played between the two teams.
While Caleb Love left a lasting legacy with the program it seemed after this past season, both teams were ready to move on heading into a news season. His senior season with Michigan will come during a period where the Wolverines program desperately needs to win more games.
