Head Coach in waiting Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils have picked up the commitment of 2023 top 15 recruit and top three point guard Caleb Foster. He listed the Blue Devils as his dream school and in two seasons he will be suited up for the program. Caleb Foster is the first 2023 commit for the Duke Blue Devils and a talented start to their class. While Duke was the heavy favorite he did hold offers from the Louisville Cardinals, Virginia Cavaliers, Texas Longhorns, and several other programs.

Caleb Foster, who just committed to Duke, is the No. 12 player in the 2023 class, per the 247Sports composite. Five-star prospect is Duke’s first in that class now.
6-5, 190-pound point guard. This is a huge win for Jon Scheyer, but also for Nolan Smith, Foster’s lead recruiter.

Caleb Foster is listed at 6’5″ and 190 pounds with plenty of time to grow. He is already a perfect size for a college point guard with a skill set to match. Duke continues to attract top talent in recruiting classes despite their Hall of Fame Head Coach announcing his retirement. The Blue Devils typically have a high roster turnover, so Foster is likely just the start to the class.

Foster gets the chance to play for his dream school in two years, but he may not be there for long. As a top 15 recruit, he could decide to declare for the 2024 NBA Draft if all goes well during his freshman season.
