The news of the Nets players, whose identities are not currently publicly known, being infected with COVID-19 comes as the NBA season has been on hiatus since Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert was identified as the first player to have the illness that has reached the level of a global pandemic. Since then, NBA players Donovan Mitchell, also of the Jazz, and Christian Wood of the Detroit Pistons are also known to have tested positive for COVID-19.
