Three years after releasing Everything’s For Sale, it looks like Boogie is ready to deliver his sophomore album. Over the weekend, the California native began leading fans down the road to his untitled LP with the release of a new single called “Aight.” Complete with production from Darttney Ellis and Keyel, the hard-hitting track highlights the duality of the rising west coast artist. On one hand, the LVRN artist can offer a track like “Silent Ride.” On other hand, he can hop on the “Corner Store” with Dezzie Gee and shout, “Ratchet Boogie is activated!” This time round, “Aight” showcases the latter rather than the former.
“I was broke and still was picky/Let the b*tches have the Fendi, rock Balencis with the Dickies, uh, h*e/She spilled her heart and I just was like so/I called my h*e, she can bring me more h*es,” he raps.
“Aight” is a strong start to Boogie’s sophomore album rollout and it has the potential to take off as the summer gets going. What’s up next? We’ll all have to wait and see. In the meantime, check out “Aight” below.
