It may be hard to believe, but summer is almost over which means one thing. It’s time for kids and young adults to head back to school. In an effort to support young students in her hometown, LVRN’s OMB Bloodbath hosted a back-to-school drive for kids in Houston, Texas. Working with LVRN, 10:22pm, Marca Unica and U Got This, the Texas native donated 500 backpacks filled with school supplies to children around the city. The LVRN signee also hosted the “Everybody Learns Summer Kamp” which allowed students to meet entertainment industry leaders and learn entrepreneurial skills. Not to mention, all of the participants had the opportunity to tour KAMP, a popular restaurant, and learn about venue management.
“I never cared [about] what they painted me out to be. I’m too busy making my own picture. Life is easy behind these phones and keyboards,” the LVRN signee wrote on Instagram.
“Get out and touch the people for real. Stopping being OK with just looking like the big dawg and put that big dawg work in. You’ll see so many blessings being selfless sometimes.”
The day closed out with a free screening of Space Jam: A New Legacy. With the help of LVRN and several community-based organizations, it looks like OMB Bloodbath is committed to putting the work in to make Houston a better place.
