USC Trojans senior point guard Boogie Ellis has announced that he will return to the program for his fifth college basketball season. He is able to play next season thanks to the extra year of eligibility granted to players because of the impact that the Coronavirus had on the 2020-21 college basketball season. Ellis has been an electric point guard for the Trojans for two years now since transferring to the program from the Memphis Tigers. This past season as a senior was his best season in college basketball. Ellis returning is a huge boon for the USC program.

Significant Pac-12 News.

This past season as a senior for the USC Trojans, Boogie Ellis averaged 17.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 43.4 percent and a three-point percentage of 38.6 percent. Ellis will be a preseason favorite for PAC-12 Player of the Year after his stellar level of play last season with USC. While the Trojans have been building a good program, they have not quite seen the sucess they have wanted overall. The return of Ellis is a chance to have a very good season and further establish the program before they make their jump to the Big Ten.
