Black Mirror fans were in for a surprise earlier this month when Netflix dropped a surprise trailer, revealing the fifth season of sci-fi anthology will drop on June 5th. Then, a few weeks later, Netflix dropped three more trailers, one for each of the three new episodes, or ‘films’ as the Mirror crew calls them. Netflix followed then followed those up with three new posters on Tuesday, one for each of the episodes.
So far, there’s not much that we know about the new season though. Some big stars are set to appear in the episodes but the trailers we’ve got have been so jumbled that it’s almost impossible to predict what we can expect. Especially considering the way past Black Mirror episodes have played out. (Check out our breakdown of the latest trailers anyway, if you want to see us give it a try.) One thing the trailers have promised is a new and terrifying future that we “should’ve seen coming.”
