Riding high off of the success of Bird Box, Netflix has begun the roll out for its next big hit. On December 28th, Netflix will unveil its standalone Black Mirror film titled, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. To prepare viewers for the spin-off film, Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for the film.
The new film centers around a young video programmer named Stefan played by Fionn Whitehead. Stefan spends most of the film attempting to create a video game centered around a novel given to him as a child. As the film develops, Stefan slowly loses control of his project.
The trailer for Black Mirror: Bandersnatch opens with Stefan discussing some odd dreams he’s had in relation to the game. Suddenly, a strange voice tells Stefan, “When it’s a concept piece, a bit of madness is what you need.” In addition, he’s instructed to flush the medicine he’s been given to deal with these dreams down the toilet. Towards the end, a woman on the screen tells Stefan, “Your fate has been dictated — you’re not in control.”
The trailer definitely fits into the Black Mirror series. More importantly, it definitely fits into the movies Netflix has rolled out recently. Check out the first trailer and watch the movie tomorrow on Netflix.
